Continuous survey readiness for Critical Access Hospitals - Part 3: Credentialing and privileging
Part 3 of the Continuous Survey Readiness series will review processes for credentialing and privileging. Credentialing is the process of evaluating and confirming various qualifications of healthcare practitioners, such as licensure, education, training, and certifications. Privileging authorizes a healthcare practitioner to perform specific clinical activities or procedures within their scope of practice. The webinar will outline the elements of credentialing and privileging processes, including internal and external peer review, collection and review of quality data including low volume procedures, privileging tele-medicine providers, and physician oversight of Advance Practice Providers (APPs).
